I have in my possession my Grandmother, Catherine Robbins, and her hiking friend Hilda Kurth’s well-documented scrapbooks that reflect their adventurous summer vacation hiking 370 miles of Vermont’s Long Trail. They became the first women to hike the trail end-to-end. As the media promoted and followed their hike, they hailed them as the “Three Musketeers”. Their scrapbooks include photos, personal notes, and media publicity of their well-followed historical 1927 Long Trail hiking journey.

The site is a combination of:
